Buyer’s answer: The production minimum is 3,000 cans for each SKU and at least 9,000 cans across the order. Both conditions apply; a large total does not remove the minimum for an individual SKU.

Calculate the order correctly

Three SKUs of 3,000 cans each meet both minimums. One SKU of 9,000 cans also meets the quantity thresholds. Two SKUs of 3,000 cans total only 6,000 cans and therefore do not meet the order minimum. One SKU of 2,000 cans remains below its SKU minimum even if the other lines are large.

Define what makes a SKU

A new flavor, caffeine strength, formula or finished artwork can create a separate stock-keeping unit. Agree the SKU definition before comparing prices or splitting quantities. A shared can model does not automatically make two differently labeled formulations the same SKU.

Separate samples from production

Sample evaluation is a development request, with availability, fees and shipping agreed separately. It does not place a production order and does not establish a lower production minimum. Put the intended production range in the sample brief so packaging and scale-up decisions remain realistic.
