Buyer’s answer: A focus pouch brief should identify each proposed ingredient and amount. The words nootropic and focus do not specify a formula or establish a finished-product benefit.
Define the proposed stack
List caffeine, L-theanine and any Alpha-GPC form separately. Include supplier specifications and the destination market. If the brief includes vitamins or other functional ingredients, identify those forms too; a branded product description is not a substitute for a bill of materials.
Review permission and compatibility
Ingredient suitability depends on the market and finished product. Technical review should also consider loading, taste, moisture behavior and storage. A familiar combination in a capsule or drink cannot be assumed to behave the same way in a sealed oral pouch.
Separate formula from marketing
The presence of a named ingredient does not establish a cognitive claim, absorption rate or reduced jitters. A brand needs evidence appropriate to its final wording and market. Approve the formulation and sensory reference first, then review consumer claims as their own workstream.
What to put in the project record
| Decision | Project specification |
|---|---|
| Product identity | Caffeine, L-theanine and Alpha-GPC |
| Approved reference | Formula revision, sample, packaging drawing and artwork, as applicable. |
| Evidence to request | The specification, relevant test records and market review supporting the decision. |
| Next discussion | Confirm remaining assumptions, responsibilities and acceptance criteria before production. |
